Are you a web content creator, writer or blogger? You’ve perhaps discovered that the internet is a very noisy place and writing a good post is no longer enough to get some attention.

The challenge is no longer just about writing a good post, but one that is also visible above the noise. 1 – Make sure you have your focus keyword added to your title tag.

– Aim for at least 1,000 words for each article. However, ensure that the article is providing meaningful content that is useful for the reader, as oppose to simply churning out content for the sake of wordcount.

– Make good use of videos, graphs, and other visuals to boost the average time on page. With Google’s technology moving towards machine learning, ensuring your visitor site statistics are healthy will be beneficial for SEO.

– Keep your URL slug to no more than 5 words.

– Also make sure to add your focus keyword to your URL slug.

– Googlebot reads html from left to right and top to bottom. Make sure you have your focus keyword in the first 100 words of your article page. If the page doesn’t fully load or there is some delay, Googlebot will get to see and learn what your page is about since the very first paragraph.

– Add outlinks to relevant reputable websites. This will signal to Google what your website and article is about.

– Add internal links between article and content pages on your website where it makes sense. It will help Google to discover, categorize and understand each webpage better when crawling and indexing.

– Add LSI (latent semantic keywords) to parts of your article. Hummingbird algorithm works by semantics, understands keyword clusters, synonyms, antonyms, and so on.

– E.A.T. Make sure to show expertise, authority and trust when writing up your articles. This will signal to Google whether or not the information you are sharing is accurate and increase the probability of your content getting ranked in Google search.
